VOLUNTEERING
Bunker Park Stable has a wonderful and rewarding volunteer program! Our volunteers learn job skills, develop great friendships, have advancement opportunities, countless learning opportunities, and best of all get to work with a wonderful herd of horses on a daily basis! Volunteers must commit to volunteering a minimum of 15 hours per month to maintain volunteer status. All applicants must be at least 13 years old and must be actively involved in our lesson program (minimum of 8 lessons and a proficiency test ride before start date). Just because a person meets the requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Applicants must be hard working, self motivated, show initiative, and follow instruction well. We are currently full for the summer, however you may still submit an application and be added to our wait list.
NEW DRIVERS CLINICWe will be offering a summer driving clinic for current volunteers and staff for those interested in beginning driving at Bunker. We are offering 4 sessions, each being a continuation on the prior sessions. For this reason, please attend all sessions if possible, however this is not required ( Private sessions may be scheduled to work in areas missed if necessary). These classes are for adults (18+) or anyone who will turn 18 in 2008. Anyone under 18 who have been with BPS 1+ years are welcome to observe, but do not expect to receive line time. Please call our office or stop in to sign up. Must be a current volunteer to take part in this clinic. CLINIC DATES: Tuesday, August 19th
